South African bassist Bakithi Kumalo, Paul Simon's long time bassist since the recording in South Africa of Paul Simon's classic 'Graceland' album, joins host Scott Sherk in the studio. 

They discuss Bakithi's upcoming performance with the All-Star Graceland Tribute Band happening Saturday, September 1, at the Levitt Pavilion at SteelStacks, and about Bakithi's long association with Paul Simon.

WDIY's Musikfest 2018 features continued with a live interview and acoustic perfromance from Joe Michelini of Philadelphia indie rock band American Trappist. 

Michelini previewed his Musikfest show later that night where he appeared for an acoustic solo American Trappist set.

WDIY Studio Session: KALO

Blues/rock trio KALO joined us in the studio for an interview and performance ahead of their Musikfest appearance later in the day. The band is made-up of Israeli-born guitarist, singer, and songwriter Bat-Or Kalo as well as Oklahoma musicians Chad Roper on bass and Mike Alexander on drums/percussion.
