11-week in-person or virtual program provides information while addressing the needs of grandparents who are raising their grandchildren.
Pinebrook Family Answers (PbFA) popular Grandparents Group psychoeducational support program begins on Wednesday, February 19th and runs through April 30th. The one-hour classes begin at 11 am, open to the community, virtual or in person. The 11-week program provides support and resources for grandparents, non-custodial caregivers and guardians who are raising children. Topics include understanding legal terms and processes; refining parenting skills, understanding child-developmental stages and positive discipline; building relationships through effective communication skills, intrapersonal connections, and conflict resolution; helping kids process trauma; and much more.
In addition to the educational information provided, the goal of the group is to provide opportunities for members to connect with each other, lessen feelings of isolation and create community that can extend beyond our group setting. PreK Pathfinders is part of a monthly series designed for children aged 3-5 and their grown-ups.

Discover the fascinating world of aquatic life as you learn how to collect and observe the tiny creatures that call the Catasauqua creek home. This hands-on adventure is perfect for those who want to explore nature up close. Wade into the water (with closed-toe shoes!) and uncover the hidden ecosystem beneath the surface, all while gaining a deeper understanding of the importance of clean water and healthy habitats.
Please note that registration is required only for the participating children, however each child must be accompanied by an adult. Your registration matters! Join Wildlands Conservancy’s Stream Team Volunteers! We help maintain riparian buffer zones (areas planted with native trees, grasses, and shrubs) along creeks and streams in the Lehigh and Northampton Counties. This involves weeding to remove invasive plant species and inspecting and replacing tree tubes used to protect young trees.

Tap Talks: Mastering the Riparian Forest Buffer explores the essential elements of planning and implementing a successful riparian buffer, whether for a backyard stream or a larger restoration project. Attendees will learn how to identify ecological zones, design effectively, select appropriate species, and prepare sites for planting. The session also covers practical strategies for protecting young plants from deer and other wildlife, as well as guidance on long-term maintenance. A deeper look into hydrologic modeling will reveal its role in project success, along with insight into when and where live stakes are most effective—or best avoided.
