Enjoy a winter exploration walk at Louise Moore Park! If weather allows, we’ll snowshoe. All it takes is a little practice and some pointers. Wear appropriate footwear such as hiking boots or insulated, waterproof boots. Equipment and instruction provided including little snowshoes for ages 5+.

PreK pathfinders is a series of programs for 3-5 year olds and their adults. This month: Enjoy stories, songs, and live animals, then venture outside in search of birds and other wildlife. Program is offered free of charge thanks to funding from Lehigh County, but space is limited, so please register. Please only register children for each child-adult team.
We supply the snowshoes, you supply the snuggles! Join our environmental educator for a fun alternative to a box of chocolates. Discover all of the beauty that the Sanctuary offers on a winter’s day. Warm up around a campfire with s’mores after our walk. Price is per couple, please register just one partner. In the case of no snow, we’ll hike. This program is outdoors, so dress for the weather. Preregistration required. Restrooms available.

The Great Backyard Bird Count is a late-winter bird census in the U.S. and around the world. Bird watchers of all ages count birds to create a real-time snapshot of where birds are.
Join the Lehigh Valley Audubon Society and Wildlands Conservancy at our 6th annual GBBC event! Help us count birds and record data in heated comfort at Dorothy Rider Pool Wildlife Sanctuary and join us in for bird themed snacks and activities.
Stop by on the hour between 10 and 2, or stay the whole time. We will take walks outside, so dress for the weather.

This 1.9 mile trail loops through the forest around Hidden Lake, a peaceful area popular with anglers. Rated easy. We’ll provide snowshoes in case of snow. Leashed dogs permitted. Restrooms available. Directions: 209 N/PA-447 N toward Marshalls Creek for 1.3 miles. Turn right onto Buttermilk Falls Rd, then left onto River Rd. After .7 miles turn left onto Hollow Rd. Follow 2.9 miles then right onto Hidden Lake Drive and drive 1.8 miles. Entrance on right. This hike is appropriate for all ages. Dogs must be on a leash. Wear comfortable walking shoes and appropriate clothing in layers for the weather. This walk is part of the Get Out! for Wellness series, in partnership with Lehigh Valley Health Network.
