Austin-based songwriter Danny Schmidt returns with the poetic, sharply crafted writing that earned him a place on the Chicago Tribune’s list of the “50 Most Significant Songwriters in the Last 50 Years.” Often compared to Leonard Cohen and Townes Van Zandt, Schmidt brings an intimate, unadorned performance style—just voice, guitar, and searing insight. His songs have resonated deeply with listeners through critically acclaimed albums, a devoted following, and his ongoing connection with the hit podcast Welcome to Night Vale. Join us in the warm setting of Godfrey Daniels for an evening of thoughtful, timeless storytelling in our renowned Live Music Listening Room.
