11-week in-person or virtual program provides information while addressing the needs of grandparents who are raising their grandchildren.

Pinebrook Family Answers (PbFA) popular Grandparents Group psychoeducational support program begins on Wednesday, February 19th and runs through April 30th. The one-hour classes begin at 11 am, open to the community, virtual or in person. The 11-week program provides support and resources for grandparents, non-custodial caregivers and guardians who are raising children. Topics include understanding legal terms and processes; refining parenting skills, understanding child-developmental stages and positive discipline; building relationships through effective communication skills, intrapersonal connections, and conflict resolution; helping kids process trauma; and much more.

In addition to the educational information provided, the goal of the group is to provide opportunities for members to connect with each other, lessen feelings of isolation and create community that can extend beyond our group setting. Tap Talks are a regular series of educational talks on environmental and conservation topics with a focus on water, given by regional experts and held at local breweries, wineries, distilleries and coffee shops. Mosaic Youth Chorus (MYC) announces the launch of Troubadours, a new non-auditioned 12 week program serving children in grades 4, 5, and 6. Troubadours will provide instruction in vocal technique, musicianship, ensemble skills, and leadership. MYC provides a nurturing environment where every young person can thrive and express their authentic artistic selves. We focus on giving youth voice and addressing topics of importance to young people. Troubadours provides foundational instruction to start young singers on this journey.

This single session hands-on class is so much more than an art party: you'll have the opportunity to follow your curiosity as you experience the spontaneous magic of paper marbling and go home with 10 original marbled papers. This event is perfect for beginners and seasoned artists alike, so come discover the magic of paper marbling with us!

Experience the magic of marbling decorative and abstract papers with this easy-to-pick-up introductory workshop to a centuries old practice.

Your single session hands-on class will be so much more than an art party: you'll have the opportunity to follow your curiosity as you experience the spontaneous magic of paper marbling and also learn how to control classic, intricate patterns.

You’ll be walked through all the techniques you need to make mesmerizing designs in the buoyant colors of the season.

In this workshop you will:

Create 10 marbled papers, 12” x 19”, yours to keep.
Learn 4 (or more) cool patterns fundamental to marbling.
Explore spontaneity in freestyle marble designs.
Build on the principles of marbling to create floral and other imagery.

1 Ticket to this event reserves your own marbling station, set of tools, and 10 marble-ready sheets of paper.

All art and marbling materials will be provided for you at the workshop.

All materials are safe when handled properly, but let me know if you have an allergy or sensitivity.

This experience can be messy, please dress appropriately. Aprons will be provided, or wear mess-worthy clothes.

Take this class over and over: every class will be slightly different with seasonal colors, alternating patterns, and opportunities for you to make new discoveries on your own.

Yellowjackets: Russell Ferrante, Bob Mintzer, Will Kennedy, Dane Alderson

Throughout their storied 43-year history, the Yellowjackets have recorded 27 albums, received 18 Grammy® nominations -- won 2 -- performed countless sold-out tours, and enjoyed worldwide critical acclaim and commercial success.

The Yellowjackets formed in the late 1970s as the backup band for guitarist Robben Ford. They recorded their first album together in 1980.

Shortly after that recording, however, Ford decided to part ways and go in a different musical direction. As a result, the modern day Yellowjackets were formed — a trio with keyboardist Russell Ferrante, bassist Jimmy Haslip, and drummer Ricky Lawson.

Since then, and with the addition of saxophonist Bob Mintzer, the Yellowjackets have gained and maintained prominence as one of jazz’s most influential and loved groups.

Over the years the band has undergone numerous lineup changes.

Never failing to rise to the inevitable challenges of adjustment, the Yellowjackets -- Russell Ferrante, drummer Will Kennedy, Bob Mintzer -- have maintained an extraordinarily high quality of musicianship that is the rival of many but a surprise to no one who knows and appreciates the band and their music.

The most recent addition to the band adds Australian bass player Dane Alderson into the mix.

With his exceptional rhythmic sensibility and natural disposition toward groove, Dane brings a new energy to the band and adds a youthful approach to the music.

The band released their 27th studio album, “Fasten Up,” in 2025 -- which was nominated for a Grammy Award in the Best Jazz Instrumental category.
