Do you love jazz or aren't sure and want to give it a try? Then "Get Jazzed" Day at Community Music School is for you! As part of a collaborative effort among Berks Arts, Boscov’s Berks Jazz Fest, getJazzed, and regional music schools, students (ages 12-18) are invited to attend an afternoon of clinics and jam sessions with professional jazz musicians and educators from across the region. CMS is pleased to announce that faculty members Griffin Woodard, Daniel Gonzalez, and Dr. Andrew O’Connor will be clinicians for this event, along with local musicians Matt Cappy, Rob Stoneback, and Andrew Neu! It's the new crown Prince Of Swing and the son of the legendary Louis Prima! Louis Prima Jr. is the youngest child of celebrated musician and entertainer Louis Prima. Prima gambled on a full-time career bringing his dad's musical style to new generations, and the gamble has paid off. In 2012 Louis Prima and The Witnesses released their debut album, Return of the Wildest and the band made their national television debut on Access Hollywood Live. The hosts had such a good time dancing along with the band that they were asked to return for the hit television show's Christmas special that had guest Henry Winkler jumping out of his seat to join in. Their worldwide tour continued through October 2013, and included a performance at the first BottleRock Napa Valley festival. sharing the bill with Macklemore, Black Keys, Zac Brown Band, and Kings of Leon.
