The film is told from the perspective of Till’s mother, Mamie Till-Mobley (Danielle Deadwyler), and is directed by Chinonye Chukwu. Look for multiple Oscar nominations for Till.

In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Silagh White proudly hosts Dr. Robert Mayer as they discuss his new book, In the Name of Emmett Till: How the Children of the Mississippi Freedom Struggle Showed Us Tomorrow, which follows the the little-known stories of the young Mississippians who were galvanized into activism by the horrific murder of Emmett Till, and how this important history is taught in schools today.
