In 1964, bands like The Beatles and The Rolling Stones exploded on the scene in the US, and American artists responded with hits of their own. Both sides continued to influence and outdo each other, in what would prove to be the most dynamic and influential era in music history.
The ’60s music scene comes alive once more with “The British Invasion Years,” a captivating retrospective celebrating smash hits from British chart toppers like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, The Who, The Moody Blues and The Zombies, just to name a few, as well as great American hit makers such as The Monkees, The Turtles, Steppenwolf, The Beach Boys, Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, The Mamas and The Papas and more.
This high-energy performance showcases the biggest hit songs, all culminating in a remarkable finale featuring Beatles classics, as if performed live by the Fab Four today. The entire show is so jam packed with faithful renditions of the music you know and love, it’s like hearing almost three albums worth of ’60s greatest hits! With a multimedia backdrop and seasoned musicians who have shared the stage with, and opened for rock legends, this remarkable concert experience promises an unforgettable journey through a revolutionary era in music that continues to resonate with audiences worldwide.
Bruce Katz has built a career at the crossroads of blues, jazz, and roots music, guided by a deep command of the Hammond B3 and piano. A longtime collaborator with artists ranging from Gregg Allman to Delbert McClinton, Katz brings decades of experience and a clear musical voice to the stage. With his Woodstock, NY–based trio, the Bruce Katz Band delivers original music that blends organ, guitar, and rhythm into a sound shaped by improvisation, groove, and conversation. This performance is a natural fit for the Intimate Atmosphere of Godfrey Daniels, where every note lands with purpose in our Live Music Listening Room.
