WDIY's Top 10 Albums of October 2020

The race for the top 10 albums played at WDIY in October is officially over. Did your favorite stay on the list? Which surprising new find beat out the rest? Scroll down or check out the slideshow to see who got the most spins for October 2020.
#10- i,i by Bon Iver has fallen to the 10th spot, but this is the third month in a row of this album ranking. This is the fourth studio album by the American indie folk band, which was released on August 9, 2019.

#9- Thrashing Thru the Passion is also celebrating its third month in a row of ranking within WDIY. This is the seventh studio album by American indie rock band the Hold Steady, which was released on August 16, 2019.

#8- en Español was released on August 21, 2020  by American Tex-Mex Miami natives, The Mavericks. After a split from 2000 to 2012, they have been touring and recording regularly. This is the band’s first album entirely in Spanish. 

#7- Look Long by Indigo Girls has fallen one place from its September placement. It’s the 15th album by the American folk rock duo. 

#6- XOXO by The Jayhawks has slipped down two more spots down from #4 in September, but still enjoying three months on non-stop spins. This album was released on July 10, 2020, and is their 11th album to date.

#5- The Land That Time Forgot has dipped down from third place in last month’s ranks. This album was released on May 15th, 2020 from California native Chuck Prophet.

#4- Saint Cloud is the fifth studio album by American indie rock act Waxahatchee, released on March 27, 2020. Much of Saint Cloud was inspired by frontwoman Katie Crutchfield’s struggles with alcoholism.

#3- Rough and Rowdy Ways by Bob Dylan has been dethroned from two months in first place at WDIY, but is still within our top five! Dylan’s 39th album was released on June 19, 2020.

#2- Good Souls Better Angels by Lucinda Williams has maintained its second place rank from last month. She released her new album on April 24, 2020.

#1- Soul Food: Cooking with Maceo was released on June 26, 2020 by funk legend Maceo Parker. Maceo's album will be the first release on Mascot Label Group's new imprint The Funk Garage. His new album blends raw, old school funk with the flavours of the New Orleans school of music.
