WDIY's Top 10 Albums of November 2020

Before the year ends and we all get swept up in the holiday season, check out our top 10 most-played albums from last month! Some new favorites, tried and true classics, and surprise selections are on November's list, so click through the covers to see who came out on top and scroll down to read details.

#10- Homegrown is the 40th studio album by Neil Young and was released June 19, 2020. The album is made of recordings done from June 1974 to January 1975. Instead of releasing this album back then, Tonight's the Night was released in its place, and Homegrown went unreleased for decades. It was finally released as part of Record Store Day 2020.

#9- The New Abnormal by The Strokes has reappeared on our radar after not being featured in a top 10 spot since August 2020. This is the sixth studio album by the classic American rock band and was released on April 10, 2020.

#8- XOXO by The Jayhawks has slipped down another two more spots from October’s list, but is another fan favorite celebrating four months of spins. This album was released on July 10, 2020, and is their 11th album to date.

#7- Look Long by Indigo Girls has held its spot from our October 2020 list. It’s the 15th album by the American folk rock duo.

#6- Yellow Coat by Matt Costa is a new addition to WDIY’s ranks. This album was released on September 11, 2020, and is the product of California resident Matt Costa penning letters to himself about the end of a relationship that had lasted almost a decade.

#5- Soul Food: Cooking with Maceo has dropped a staggering five places from last month’s first place spot. Funk legend Maceo Parker released this album on June 26, 2020.

#4- The Land That Time Forgot has recovered some ground from last month’s ranks. This album was released on May 15th, 2020 from California native Chuck Prophet.

#3- Saint Cloud by Waxahatchee has moved up one spot from its previous monthly ranking.This is the fifth studio album by the American indie rock act released on March 27, 2020.

#2- Rough and Rowdy Ways by Bob Dylan is celebrating a four-month streak of non-stop spins at WDIY! Dylan’s 39th album was released on June 19, 2020.

#1- The new leader for November’s top 10 albums is Bruce Springsteen’s twelfth studio album, Letter to You. It was dropped October 23, 2020. This release marks his first new studio album with his regular backing band named the E Street Band since 2014's release of High Hopes.
