11-week in-person or virtual program provides information while addressing the needs of grandparents who are raising their grandchildren.

Pinebrook Family Answers (PbFA) popular Grandparents Group psychoeducational support program begins on Wednesday, February 19th and runs through April 30th. The one-hour classes begin at 11 am, open to the community, virtual or in person. The 11-week program provides support and resources for grandparents, non-custodial caregivers and guardians who are raising children. Topics include understanding legal terms and processes; refining parenting skills, understanding child-developmental stages and positive discipline; building relationships through effective communication skills, intrapersonal connections, and conflict resolution; helping kids process trauma; and much more.

In addition to the educational information provided, the goal of the group is to provide opportunities for members to connect with each other, lessen feelings of isolation and create community that can extend beyond our group setting. Forget the fairy tale you know! This fresh spin on the classic tale follows a basketball-loving princess who’d rather shoot hoops than wait around for Prince Charming. Caught between slam dunks, slam jams (yep, there’s music!), and six royal sisters’ matchmaking missions, our heroine’s world turns upside down when her game ball takes an unexpected plunge into a mysterious well.

Enter an unexpected hero: a talking frog who’s a prince under a magical spell. As friendship sparks between the princess and her amphibian ally, the dynamic duo dishes out assists, keeps it real with family, and learns that being true to yourself is the greatest win of all. For two decades, Nicole Atkins has created her own brand of spectral American rock and roll. She's an old-school torch singer for the modern world, funneling her award-winning songwriting chops and genre-spanning influences — including psychedelic rock, Muscle Shoals soul, the pop grandeur of Roy Orbison, and the dark drama of Nick Cave — into six albums that have earned a global audience.

Join Wildlands Conservancy’s Stream Team Volunteers! We help maintain riparian buffer zones (areas planted with native trees, grasses, and shrubs) along creeks and streams in the Lehigh and Northampton Counties. This involves weeding to remove invasive plant species and inspecting and replacing tree tubes used to protect young trees.

Wildlands Conservancy's Stream Team is a great volunteer opportunity for individuals, college students, and community groups. Join us!!
