Lehigh University Jazz students and faculty perform contemporary Jazz works for their spring concert. Bill Warfield, director.
The Intersection Trio characterizes its performances as “events.” The group’s appearance on the CMLV stage during the 2022-2023 season was certainly more than a concert, although the music alone was to die for. Added to that treat, however, was a glamorous fashion show; friendly, funny, and interesting commentary; and a rich potpourri of solo, duo, and trio programming. Individually, cellist Kristina Reiko Cooper, violinist Laura Frautschi, and pianist John Novacek have been nominated for a Grammy, starred in a Mark Wahlberg documentary, and toured the world as concertmaster for the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra. Together, the three are both popular (frequently seen on magazine covers, on television, and in commercials) and renowned (with recording roots in Japan and bookings worldwide).
GRAMMY®-nominated and 10-time IBMA Bass Player of the Year, Missy Raines brings her celebrated dynamic blend of Bluegrass and Americana sound to Godfrey Daniels with her band, Allegheny. A trailblazer in bluegrass, Raines has played the Grand Ole Opry, been featured in the Country Music Hall of Fame, and has collaborated with some of the finest musicians in the industry. With rich vocals, intricate instrumentation, and deep Appalachian roots, Missy Raines & Allegheny create a soul-stirring performance that captures both tradition and innovation. Join us for an intimate and unforgettable afternoon of live music at Bethlehem’s premier listening room on Sunday, May 4 at 4PM!

Born in Kansas City, Missouri, Eddie was voted class clown three years in a row in high school. His first love was always dance and by the young age of 16, he opened his own dance studio and was choreographing the Kansas City Chiefs half-time shows. But all of that would soon change when one night his cousin dared him to go on stage at the local comedy club Sanford and Sons where he was told to do 3 minutes. He performed off-the-cuff for 45 minutes successfully. It was then that Griffin purchased a one-way ticket to Los Angeles to pursue his dream of becoming a stand up.
He played The Pastor opposite Dave Chappelle, Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper in 2018’s Academy Award Winning feature film A Star is Born. His Showtime Comedy Special Eddie Griffin: Undeniable debuted on Showtime in February 2018 to rave reviews.
