Pennsylvania has delivered over 16 million total COVID-19 vaccinations so far, and health experts have emphasized how getting the vaccine is critical in the fight against the pandemic.

WDIY's Sarit Laschinsky speaks with Vicky Kistler, Director of the Allentown Health Bureau about how local efforts to immunize the community have been proceeding, the need to get vaccinated against COVID-19 and its variants, and why people who previously contracted COVID still need to get the jab.

The health bureau has free, walk-in, no-appointment vaccine clinics Monday-Friday from 9 AM to 3:30 PM, at 245 N. Sixth St., Allentown. First and second shots, boosters, pediatric shots and flu shots are available.

People can also call 610-437-7760, and choose 0 to schedule an appointment outside those hours, or to be referred to another clinic.

More information on scheduling vaccines at the AHB is available at https://www.allentownpa.gov/Health-Bureau/COVID-Vaccine
