Jim Wardrop
Program HostJim Wardrop ("JW" to his listeners) enjoys the chance to share his life long passion for jazz music on the air. His range of interest covers the entire history of America's original art form. Over the last thirty years he has hosted many live jazz shows, interviewed numerous musicians, published articles in music journals, and co-produced several recordings. Preparing these projects has required extensive research and the collecting of a large library of recordings, all of which he enjoys sharing with the WDIY audience. Jim is a founding member of SOAP (Spirit of the Airwaves Players), a group performing classic radio programming from the 1930s and 40s.
