The Furious Bongos are a unique musical project dedicated to celebrating the music of Frank Zappa. Rather than simply replicating Zappa's work, they aim to capture the spirit of his creativity and innovation, bringing a fresh and dynamic approach to his compositions. Their performances are known for their energy, humor, and technical brilliance, staying true to the adventurous and boundary-pushing nature of Zappa's music.

The band tours extensively, with upcoming shows planned across the U.S. and Canada in 2025. They’ve gained a reputation for their engaging live performances, which often feature intricate arrangements and a playful, interactive vibe. If you're a fan of Zappa or just curious about their unique take on his music, they’re definitely worth checking out!

The Bethlehem Rose Garden is a curated farmer's market that serves as a thriving and welcoming outlet, directly connecting the greater Lehigh Valley community to our local farmers, artisans and service providers. The market is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2026.

FREE COMMUNITY EVENT – Join us for the annual Labor Day Festival hosted by the Sherman Theater on Saturday, September 5th from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM!

Craft, retail, food and beverage vendors will line Main Street, complementing dozens of shops and restaurants in downtown Stroudsburg, PA. There will be live music at multiple stages throughout the day, and lots of activities for the whole family to enjoy!

In the nineteenth century, American artists sought to capture the unique character of the North American landscape, from iconic landmarks to intimate countryside views. Drawing from the Allentown Art Museum’s permanent collection, this exhibition explores mountains, waterfalls, pastures, and wilderness scenes while also examining how these idealized landscapes can obscure ecological damage and colonial violence.

Kay WalkingStick / Hudson River School brings together works by contemporary Cherokee artist Kay Walking Stick with nineteenth-century Hudson River School paintings, creating a conversation about American landscape, identity, memory, and the land’s layered histories.

Drop-in to the Art Ways Interactive Family Gallery on the second floor of the Museum every Saturday and Sunday to make your own art to take home during ArtVentures. Museum educators are on hand to help guide you in creating an artwork inspired by the Museum’s collection. Design your own creation and bring it to life on one of our 3D printers. All ages and abilities welcome! Free.

What began as a way to work with her friends has exploded on the comedy scene. Funny Women Of A Certain Age or WOACA was created to give older women comics a chance to be seen and heard. Frustrated with how women are portrayed on television once they hit 50, Carole decided to do something about it. She’s fighting ageism AND sexism one joke at a time. The women who appear in WOACA are all funny, vibrant and brilliant, they just happen to be of a certain age. These women paved the way for the female comics you see today. Funny Women of a Certain Age was Showtime's highest rated comedy special of 2019 and made television history as the first special to feature 6 female comics over the age of 50. The live tour features a rotating cast of top-notch comedians including women from the TV specials when their schedule permits.
