WDIY's Top 10 Albums of January 2020

#1- Gypsy by Eilen Jewell was released on August 16, 2019. For her seventh album, she's combined the personal narratives she usually tells with a taste of protest and rebellion statement songs.

#2- Let's Rock by The Black Keys was released on June 28, 2019. This is the band's ninth studio album, coming five years after the release of their last full-length album, 2014's Turn Blue . The duo self-produced this blues-rock album.

#3- Blood by Allison Moorer is the Americana singer-songwriter's tenth album. It was released October 29, 2019. The album is a companion to her autobiography Blood: A Memoir

#4- The Mavericks Play the Hits was released on November 1, 2019. The Mavericks marked their 30th anniversary as a band by releasing this album as a tribute to the groups that inspired them.

#5- Kingfish came out in May 2019, and it's Christone Ingram's debut album. This up-and-coming blues artist is only 21 years-old.

#6- Western Stars is Bruce Springsteen's 19th studio album, and it was released on June 14, 2019. It became his 20th top-ten album in the United States and received international critical acclaim. 

#7- Baby, Please Come Home by Jimmie Vaughan was released on May 17, 2019. This is the 16th studio album from the four-time Grammy Award-winning blues rock icon.

#8- Valve Bone Woe is the second solo studio album by jazz singer-songwriter Chrissie Hynde. It was released September 6, 2019. 

#9- LAHS by Allah-Las was released on October 11, 2019. The California-based quartet blended their distinct West Coast sound with narratives that dream of traveling into the unknown. 

#10- Africa Speaks is Santana's 25th studio album. Released on June 7, 2019, the album was completely produced in ten days in Malibu. In those ten days, 49 songs were recorded.
