Philadelphia Changing Distribution of Gun Violence Grant Money After Previous Delays

Mckayla Warwick is the executive director of Collective Climb and one of its co-founders. In March, she said she still owed payments to venue owners from the program she ran using city funding.

The City of Philadelphia is changing the way it gives grant money to gun violence nonprofits. The move comes after the last round of grantees experienced significant payment delays. WHYY’s Sammy Caiola has been following the story.
