The Pandemic Labor Market Through the Eyes of Philly’s Immigrant Restaurant Workers

Around 10% of restaurant workers across the U.S. are undocumented immigrants. During the pandemic, shutdowns forced many to find other jobs. That’s contributing to reports of a labor shortage, and as WHYY Keystone Crossroads’ Laura Benshoff reports it’s also emboldening some in Philadelphia to organize for better working conditions.
