Restaurant owners hope they cans stay afloat with new government funding from the American Rescue Plan. The $1.9 trillion plan includes more than $28 billion in relief funds for restaurants. It’s known as the Restaurant Revitalization Fund, and it was advocated for by the Independent Restaurant Coalition - an organization of bar and restaurant owners who have fought for government assistance since the pandemic’s beginning.
