Rayna Malhotra welcomes Dr. Hyunok Choi, epidemiologist and associate professor at Lehigh University's College of Health and undergraduate student Emily Grace, who have been working together on research looking into the environmental origins and impacts of asthma.

Then, Rayna speaks with Mikail Jaffer, a 17-year-old senior at Moravian Academy who is working on two projects, one using A.I. to detect COVID-19 and another using protein folding to battle COVID-19 and other diseases.

Teen Scientist with host Rayna Malhotra brings you groundbreaking innovation in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines - entirely from a teenage perspective. Catch it the first Thursday of every month from 6:00 to 7:00 PM following All Things Considered.

(Original air-date: 12/2/21)

Rayna Malhotra was the host of WDIY's monthly Youth Media Program show, Teen Scientist, until her graduation from Moravian Academy in 2024.
