Moravian University Celtic Ensemble Director Alison Gillespie Discusses the Ensemble and Their Upcoming Concert | Celtic Faire

Host Rick Weaver welcomes Alison Gillespie, Director of the Moravian University Celtic Ensemble, to talk about the ensemble and their fall semester concert on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at the university's Peter Hall in Bethlehem.

The free concert will feature soprano Caitlyn Cinque accompanied by Lynda Chryst on piano performing songs by Quilter, Mozart, Debussy, and Lerner & Loewe. The program is called "Homeland: Exploring Celtic themes about leaving home, coming home, and longing for home."

Rick Weaver is the host of Celtic Faire, WDIY's show dedicated to Celtic music which airs Thursdays from 7 - 9 pm. Rick is also a musician, playing in the Lehigh Valley-based traditional Irish band Piper's Request along with fellow WDIY volunteer Megan Everett. Rick plays banjo, guitar, mandolin and fiddle! Rick also currently serves on the WDIY Board of Directors as Member Representative.
