West Side Story | At the Movies

West Side Story gets a do-over by director Steven Spielberg, with a new screenplay by Tony Kushner. The songs by Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim sound better than ever with this updated visual masterpiece. There’s a cast of young actors plus the legendary Rita Moreno, an Oscar winner from the original film, who is back in a new role that may earn her another statue. Paul Willistein of the Lehigh Valley Press reviews the musical drama.

Listen to At the Movies every Monday at 6:25 PM during Lehigh Valley Arts Salon.
