He is also working on a book about the use of aquaculture to manage Great Lakes fisheries, particularly the use of salmon from the Pacific Ocean to create a sport fishery in the 1960s.

Liz Reid began working at WESA in 2013 as a General Assignment Reporter and Weekend Host. Since then, she’s worked as the Morning Edition Producer, Health & Science Reporter and currently as an Editor. Liz came to Pittsburgh from KRPS public radio in Southeast Kansas, where she was a Feature Producer and the local host of All Things Considered. Previously, Liz interned and freelanced at KQED public radio in San Francisco. She has an MA in Broadcast & Electronic Communication Arts from San Francisco State University, where she also taught audio production classes. She’s done stints working in academia and the music industry, but she’s happiest in a public radio setting. When Liz is not reporting and hosting at 90.5 WESA, she likes to play baseball, cook, read and go camping.

Kate Carlton Greer is a general assignment reporter for KGOU. She covered Oklahoma's efforts in tornado response and recovery as part of KGOU's "Ahead of the Storm: The Oklahoma Tornado Project" from October 2013 through September 2014. Kate also served as the Community Calendar Producer from January to August in 2013. She grew up in Flower Mound, Texas, and studied broadcasting and electronic media at the University of Oklahoma.

A native New Yorker who spent much of his adult life in Los Angeles, Frank moved to the Lehigh Valley in 2014. He was formerly the National Director of Creative Affairs for peermusic, the world’s largest independent music publishing company. During his tenure, he worked closely with many successful artists and songwriters, including Josh Groban, Michael Buble, and 16-time Grammy Award-winner, David Foster. He also represented the music catalogs of legendary songwriters like Buddy Holly, Donovan, Hoagy Carmichael (“Stardust”, “Georgia On My Mind”) and Country/Folk icons, Jimmie Rodgers & The Carter Family. A journalism major at The University of Missouri, Frank lives in Center Valley with his wife and two sons, one of whom is a 14-pound Chihuahua mix named Rocco.

For 25 years, Maria Hinojosa has helped tell America’s untold stories and brought to light unsung heroes in America and abroad. In April 2010, Hinojosa launched The Futuro Media Group with the mission to produce multiplatform, community-based journalism that respects and celebrates the cultural richness of the American Experience. She is currently reporting for “Frontline” on immigration detention.

LaToya Dennis joined WUWM in October 2006 as a reporter / producer. LaToya began her career in public radio as a part-time reporter for WKAR AM/FM in East Lansing, Michigan. She worked as general assignment reporter for WKAR for one and a half years while working toward a master's degree in Journalism from Michigan State University. While at WKAR, she covered General Motors plant closings, city and state government, and education among other critical subjects.
