Farmers Market

Farmer’s Markets in the Lehigh Valley begin opening throughout this month of May.   These are a wonderful resource for those of us that value knowing the source of our food and want to support local food producers.  All of these markets provide a unique shopping experience where customers can sample many of the foods, develop relationships with the vendors, discover unique varieties of foods and plants and learn healthy cooking tips at a fun, family-oriented destination.

A recent statistic I just read in the current issue of “Natural Awakenings” Magazine says that “If all 241,000 households in the Lehigh Valley spent $10 per week during the growing season on food from local farmers, our local economy would grow by more than $67 million dollars.”

Here is a list of the local farmer’s markets and their days and hours.
