Long-Delayed Philadelphia Single-Use Bag Ban to Take Effect in July

Philly’s long-delayed ban on single-use plastic bags will begin to take effect at the beginning of next month. WHYY’s Katie Meyer reports city council first passed the ban in late 2019, but interventions from Republicans on the state level, and the pandemic, has kept it from being implemented.
