Rich Cultural Soil with Bridget George and Doug Roysdon | LV Arts Salon

Kate Scuffle is joined by Bridget George and Doug Roysdon to talk about their new film Rooted, which follows the stories of a group of artists who spent their lives creating in Bethlehem. The artists:

  • Doug Roysdon of Mock Turtle Marionette Theatre
  • Dave Fry of Godfrey Daniels Folk Music Club
  • Bill George of Touchstone Theatre
  • Adan Gilrain McKenna, local filmmaker

They talk about the 75-minute documentary's inclusion of over 200 hours of interviews, new and archival video, music, and photos, and explore the artists' impact on a community that was hurting during and after Bethlehem Steel's collapse.

Rooted will premiere during the SouthSide Film Festival on June 15 at 2:00 PM at Baker Hall, Zoellner Arts Center, Lehigh University.
