Shelly Hever

Shelly Hever made her on air debut with WDIY on Saturday, September 1, 2018, as co-host, of Hidden Charms, along with her husband and operations direction of WDIY, Neil Hever. Hidden Charms began as a joint labor of love through many discussions Neil and Shelly had about the noticeable absence from the Lehigh valley’s airwaves of much of the great music they grew up. At the time, WDIY was filling a gap on Saturday nights music programming with the TED Radio Hour. Neil and Shelly felt that a one-hour show filed with music from the 1960s, '70s and '80s would be the prefect musical bridge from Blue Moon Cruising into Good Clean Fun, and it would allow Saturday nights to be THE place to listen in the Valley for great music every Saturday night.

Shelly was born and raised in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Freedom High School in1983 and attended Kutztown University in Pennsylvania where she majored in Elementary Education. She presently works full-time as Critical Order, Supply Chain Specialist at Avantor, a supplier of mission critical products and server to the Bio Pharmaceutical and life sciences markets. Shelly met Neil on December 11, 2012 and they were married on September 21, 2018. In addition to their mutual love of music, they share 5 children: Chris, Miranda, Meghann, Samantha and Connor — and recently, they became grandparents to Cora and Zion. They also have "the world’s cutest dog," Coda.

In addition to co-hosting Hidden Charms, Shelly volunteers at WDIY events and fund drives. She loves going to Liberty High School events to watch her son, Connor, perform as well. Shelly also enjoys quality time with her family and baking delicious desserts.
