How Have Democrats and Republicans Responded to East Palestine?

U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Michael Regan, Pennsylvania Gov. Joseph Shapiro, Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine and other local leaders provide an update on the Norfolk Southern train derailment in East Palestine on Feb. 21.

The recovery and cleanup effort following the train derailment in East Palestine Ohio is now entering its fourth week. Residents on both sides of the Ohio-Pennsylvania border initially complained that they weren’t getting enough help or attention.

But WESA’s Oliver Morrison reports that last week politicians at every level were jostling to show concern.
