In the electronic music community, Dean De Benedictis is known as Surface 10. With a background that includes jazz fusion, progressive rock, sound design work, and producing source music for network television, Dean incorporates film work, illustration, literature and conceptual art into his creative efforts.
Much of Dean’s music is composed as a dedication to his own life experiences. Many of Dean's pieces were created for listening at outdoor locations such as deserts, canyons, jungles, mountains, coastal regions, and unpopulated areas to permanently mark these regions with the music in his mind, often created on location.
