Teen Writers Shine at Literary Event: Showcase at the Lodge
The Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts (Charter Arts) Literary Arts Department will hold its "Showcase at the Lodge" event on February 6, 2026 from 6-8 PM at Cafe the Lodge, located at 427 E. 4th Street in Bethlehem.
Students will present a variety of original written works, from poetry and prose to short stories and spoken word. This FREE event will also include an Open Mic portion.
The school has proudly collaborated with Cafe the Lodge for more than ten years to hold these monthly literary events as part of the Southside Arts District's First Friday celebrations.
ABOUT THE LITERARY ARTS PROGRAM at CHARTER ARTS:
The school's literary arts students work with published and award-winning faculty to explore the relationship between literature, reading, writing and performance of the written word while honing their craft and producing works in various mediums. The curriculum, designed to reflect a college-level creative writing program, is a perfect fit for students who would like to strive for future careers as poets, novelists and playwrights.

Prospective students who would like to discover their voice, sharpen their craft, and join a community of passionate young writers, are encouraged to request a tour of Charter Arts.
