Parkland Community Library Rebel Girls Club presents: A Conversation with Melba Tolliver

All are invited for an inspiring and empowering event featuring Melba Tolliver, trailblazing journalist and author of Accidental Anchorwoman: A Memoir of Chance, Choice, Change, and Connection. This program is designed to uplift and empower by sharing stories of resilience, courage, and breaking barriers.

Melba Tolliver will share her journey as the first Black woman to anchor a network news broadcast, her experiences overcoming challenges, and the lessons she’s learned about perseverance and self-belief.

Participants will have the opportunity to ask Melba questions about her career, her memoir, and how she navigated obstacles to achieve her goals.

Attendees will have the chance to meet Melba Tolliver and get their copies of Accidental Anchorwoman signed.

Light refreshments will be served.

This program is intended for all audiences and is a wonderful opportunity for young girls to connect with a role model and leave feeling inspired to chase their dreams.

Rebel Girls Club is supported by a grant from the PA Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC)
