Saint Patrick’s Day is nearby. I thought I’d engage you in a bit of Celtic legend. No Leprechauns or pots of gold here, I’m talking the tales of Fionn mac Cumhaill and the lesser known story of Laymore and Luth . These go back a ways in time, around the era when Christianity was coming to Ireland.
My friend Richard Marsh will be your guide though a landscape long past. If you find yourself in Ireland, you may want to look Richard up. Besides being a bardic storyteller, he gives story-tours of prehistoric sites.
Richard’s first tale is about one of those ancient places. Sit back, with a cup of tea perhaps, and let your mind wander to a time before ours.
That was Richard Marsh.
The Lehigh Valley Storytelling Guild holds its Storytelling Circle at Godfrey Daniels at 7 East 4th Street in Bethlehem on the second Wednesdays of the month at 7:30 pm (except the month of August). Come and listen to stories or try out a story yourself. We are a friendly audience and the event is free.
Well, that’s all for now, have fun, and keep a story in your heart.
