Local legislators put a new bill before the City Council on May 11 to ban supervised injection sites in certain neighborhoods. Councilmember Quetcy Lozada is leading the effort.

Several Philadelphia council members want to preemptively ban supervised injection sites in five city districts that include the River Wards and parts of North and South Philly.

They introduced a new bill in City Council last week. WHYY’s Nicole Leonard reports.
