A rare 1776 British gold guinea was discovered on June 18 at the Red Bank Battlefield archaeological site. The remains of 13 men believed to be Hessian soldiers were also discovered there.

Researchers with Rowan University announced the discovery of a mass Revolutionary War battlefield grave in Gloucester County. From the New Jersey Desk, WHYY's Kenneth Burns reports the discovery of the rare site will give historians and the public more knowledge about an American victory that was a boost in the fight for independence.
