Dr. Larry Lipkis Prepares to Bring Renaissance and Baroque Era Dance Music to Moravian University

Dr. Larry Lipkis of Moravian University.

Karen El-Chaar welcomes the Professor of Music at Moravian University, Dr. Larry Lipkis to talk about the upcoming performance, Early Music Balliamo! (Let's Dance!).

Moravian University’s three early music ensembles — the Monteverdi and Baroque Ensembles and the Collegium Musicum — will provide a rousing program of dance music from the Renaissance and Baroque eras. Following the concert, they will clear the benches and have a Renaissance dance workshop, where attendees will learn the steps to a pavane, galliard, branle, and English Country and Morris dances.

The event will take place on Sunday, April 6, at 7:00 P.M. in Peter Hall on the Hurd Campus of Moravian University. Tickets and information are available at Moravian University's website.
