Primary Elections with LOWV's Mary Erdman & Attorney Zachary Cohen | WDIY News Exclusive

Pennsylvania's primary voting is on May 18th, so Marcie Lightwood sat down with Mary Erdman of the League of Women Voters organization here in the Lehigh Valley who recently held the 10th "Running for Local Office" workshop on how to become a political candidate here in the Valley with help from resources to the paperwork process.

Marcie then invites Allentown attorney Zachary Cohen to share his experience from a candidate workshop and how it helped shape his run for Lehigh County Judge in the Court of Common Pleas.

Marcie Lightwood came to WDIY to set up WDIY's first on-air membership drive, and she has stayed with the station ever since. Marcie is a self-employed social worker, specializing in parenting education, working with people in poverty and group facilitation. Currently, Marcie serves as local host for NPR's All Things Considered on Friday afternoons along with producing special WDIY news features. She is the mother of four grown children and lives in Allentown.
