Partnership for WDIY's 2019 Fall Membership Drive to Provide Meals Through Second Harvest Food Bank

Second Havest Food Bank | Facebook.com
Second Harvest Food Bank of the Lehigh Valley will receive the funds to provide 21 meals for every $100 raised from WDIY member donations during the 2019 Fall Membership Drive.

WDIY has announced that member donations will be going further this fall thanks to Valley National Financial Advisors.
Valley National has partnered with WDIY  for our 2019 Fall Membership Drive, which is scheduled to begin on-air on Friday, October 11, 2019. For every $100 raised during the Membership Drive, Valley National will provide Second Harvest Food Bank of the Lehigh Valley with the funds to deliver 21 meals to families and individuals in need in the Lehigh Valley.

The partnership will allow 100% of WDIY member donation to stay with the station, while Valley National matches a portion for the meals.

Membership donations can be made to WDIY's 2019 Fall Membership Drive here.

WDIY is currently running a Buy-Back Campaign, hoping to meet the $16,000 mini-goal by October 11. If we are able to successfully meet this goal, we will eliminate all Membership Drive interruptions for the first three days of the drive. That would mean an entire weekend of uniterrupted programming on WDIY.

The partnership with Valley National will cover both the Buy-Back Campaign and on-air Membership Drive, so listeners and members are encouraged to give early.

In the fall of 2018, WDIY member donations resulted in Second Harvest delivering 12,865 meals to those in need in our community.

Known officially as Second Harvest Food Bank of the Lehigh Valley and Northeast Pennsylvania, the organization serves 200 agencies in a six-county area: Carbon, Lehigh, Monroe, Northampton, Pike, and Wayne counties. Examples of agencies served in the Lehigh Valley include food pantries, soup kitchens, and homeless shelters.
