Amid an unrelenting surge in shootings, one anti-violence advocate in Philly is turning to carpentry in an effort to save lives. Specifically, the lives of young Black men who are now more likely to die from gun violence than anything else. WHYY’s Aaron Moselle attended the new program’s first class and has this report.
