Saturdays on WDIY are about to become an even better place to discover rock and roll's past. Beginning Saturday, September 1, 2018, WDIY is unveiling our new 'Early Rock & Roll Saturday Evening.' John Dodds sat down with hosts Ray Leister and Neil Hever to talk about the idea behind the revamped programming block and to hear some stories about the music that's in store.
Blue Moon Cruising (formerly Blue Moon Saturday) hosted by Ray Leister will air from 5 to 7 pm and focus on rock and roll's first decade. Hidden Charms hosted by Neil Hever from 7 to 8 pm is a brand new program which will focus on the 1960s, 70s, and 80s touching on genres like British Invasion, garage rock, Motown, punk, R&B, blues, dance, and ska.
It all leads into the modern alternative and indie rock of Good Clean Fun at 8 pm here on WDIY.
