Chester County Residents Push for Removal of Waste Incinerator

The Covanta incinerator, a waste-to-energy facility that burns trash from Delaware County, Philadelphia, New York City, in Chester, Pa.

The city of Chester is home to the Delaware Valley Resource Recovery Facility, a waste-to-energy incinerator. Some local residents, saying the facility poses health risks, hope to have an opportunity to get rid of it. WHYY’s Kenny Cooper has more.
