Tape Swap Radio is a live music series spotlighting independent and DIY music in the Lehigh Valley. Every show, host Shamus McGroggan features a new live session, made up of a four-song performance and interview. Shards Sessions are recorded at the Bethlehem recording studio, Shards, and Rooftop Sessions are recorded on various Lehigh Valley rooftop buildings (currently, the Flatiron Building in South Bethlehem). Each show is then rounded out by other live recordings in the area, interviews, and music spotlights.
Drawing equally from those who call the Lehigh Valley home and those passing through on tours, Tape Swap aims to provide a unique live snapshot of the musicians who make up the Lehigh Valley's vital and thriving DIY music scene from a range of different genres: punk rock, psychedelic rock, metal, anti-folk, garage rock, indie rock and more. Listen to the show the first Friday of every month at 11 PM on WDIY, then look for online video and audio at Tape Swap Radio's website.
