CODA | At the Movies

"CODA" is an acronym for Children of Deaf Adults. In the film, a housewife (Marlee Matlin, a deaf actor, Oscar winner - "Children of a Lesser God") and her fisherman husband (Troy Kotsur, a deaf actor) launch a new retail seafood business. But the plans of their hearing daughter (Emilia Jones), who is her parents’ ASL interpreter, to attend the Berklee School of Music may be dashed. Paul Willistein of the Lehigh Valley Press reviews the music drama.

Listen to At the Movies every Monday at 6:25 PM during Lehigh Valley Arts Salon.

(Original air-date: 10/4/21)

Paul Willistein is the host of WDIY's weekly movie review feature, At the Movies.
