Scott Allen

Scott is a local host and board operator for WDIY's broadcast of All Things Considered from NPR.

Scott decided to volunteer for the news team because Marcie Lightwood (who was news hosting coordinator at the time) kept asking him to do so. He says he had never done anything like that before but decided to try something new as a way to give back to the community, plus he says he had been a big fan of NPR news his entire life.

Scott is an Episcopal priest and serves the congregation of St. Andrew's on Pennsylvania Ave on the border of Allentown and Bethlehem. He's an avid gardener and has two children. He makes his home in South Bethlehem, not too far from the WDIY studios.
