Rayna Malhotra
Program Host - Youth MediaRayna Malhotra, host of Teen Scientist on WDIY aims to bring listeners groundbreaking innovation in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, entirely from a teenage perspective. She is a junior at Moravian Academy in Bethlehem and wants to pursue a career in pharmacology research and drug development.
Her research regarding gene therapies for cardiovascular tissue repair has been presented and recognized at the national and international level. Rayna is the creator of the "On the Web" program for senior veterans at the VA, participates in St. Luke's youth volunteer program, is president of Synapse Global Science Connections, and of her school's Engineering in Medicine & Biology Organization. Rayna's hobbies and interests include photography, playing the flute, and reading classic literature.
