Heather Forest: Dancing Lass, Feeding Clothes

On today’s show we are going to visit once again, Heather Forest. She is a master of the multicultural tale, but always brings her own voice to the story.

The first tale she will tell she pulled from The English and Scottish Popular Ballads edit by James Francis Child, this particular  song called The Dancing Lass of Anglesey. That is followed by a humorous Sufi tale from the Middle East called Feeding His Clothes.

Here is Heather Forest.

That was Heather Forest.

Coming up this Sunday afternoon for the Children’s Series at Godfrey Daniel is Robbi Kumalo and her show of Jazzy Tales. Robbi brings a sense of the world community to children’s entertainment.  That will be Sunday, February 21st at 2:00pm.

More children’s show will follow on March 6th with Denise McCormack, March 20th with Judy England-McCarthy, and the series ends on April 3rd with Ingrid Bohn. These are all Sunday afternoon shows at 2:00pm. And as always, Cop and Kids will be there handing out free books.

The Lehigh Valley Storytelling Guild holds its Storytelling Circle at Godfrey Daniels at 7 East 4th Street in Bethlehem on the second Wednesdays of the month at 7:30 pm (except the month of August). Come and listen to stories or try out a story yourself. We are a friendly audience and the event is free.

That’s all for now, have fun, and keep a story in your heart.
