2021 was a big year for environmental news in Philadelphia. The city ramped up its carbon neutrality commitment, banned plastic bags, gathered input on a plan to increase tree cover, and more. Sophia Schmidt of WHYY’s PlanPhilly reports the fruits of many of these efforts will come in the new year.
