Philly, Memphis Officials Meet to Discuss City’s Driving Equality Act

Following in Philadelphia’s footsteps and in the wake of the death of Tyre Nichols, Memphis, Tennessee, is poised to pass its own Driving Equality Act.

Philadelphia City Councilmember Isaiah Thomas and Memphis City Councilmember Michalyn Easter-Thomas met virtually on Monday to discuss the legislation — WHYY’s Sam Searles was there.
