The Old Guard was released on July 10, 2020 in the U.S. through Netflix.

Paul Willistein of the Lehigh Valley Press says that Charlize Theron is the reason to see “The Old Guard,” the first comic book-based superhero movie directed by an African-American female, Gina Prince-Bythewood.
