Over 200 students have participated in WDIY's Youth Media Program over the last 16 years.

Each spring, WDIY's Youth Media Program gives Lehigh Valley high school students the opportunity to learn radio production, writing for radio, and voicing for radio from industry professionals at the WDIY studios. The Spring 2016 program continued that tradition, running between February and May 2016.

Under the guidance of the program, the students research, record, and produce a final broadcast story on a topic of their choice. The topics covered are subjects relevant to young adults in the Lehigh Valley. Three broadcast stories were chosen to be aired from this year's program. Listen to the reports below:

"Youth Voting"
Lara from Saucon Valley High School
Original air-date: 11/2/2016

"Charter Schools in the Lehigh Valley"
Kylie from Lehigh Valley Charter School for the Arts
Original air-date: 11/3/2016
