On Galactic Travels, the Special Focus for October is Dave Luxton. Originally from northern New England, Dave is drawn to music by its magical power to evoke emotion and communicate the human experience. Creating music with synthesizers since childhood, Dave creates video and film scores as well as his own albums. Having played in bands of many genres, he now concentrates on his Wayfarer Records label, working with several artists from around the world. He has eleven of his own studio albums on the label and continues to compose film scores.
With a PhD. in Clinical Psychology, Dave is a professor, writer, and researcher. He is a member of ASCAP and resides in Olympia, Washington.
